Public speaking is a skill we all know is valuable, but let’s be honest – for most of us, it’s intimidating. Whether it's presenting in front of classmates or speaking to a large group, that feeling of nervousness can be hard to shake. Recently, my classmates and I gave presentations on the topic of public speaking, and I found myself learning a lot, not just from my own group but from the others as well. From organizing ideas to delivering a message clearly, these presentations taught me lessons that are definitely going to help me in both my academic and professional future. In this post, I’ll break down the key points I picked up from each group’s presentation and explain how they’ve already started improving my confidence when it comes to public speaking. Whether you’re an experienced speaker or someone who, like me, is working on finding their voice, these tips can make all the difference.     Eduardo Hernandez      Each chapter unveiled a unique facet of public speaking providing insights that would shape my understanding of this vital skill. Id like to share my thoughts on each chapter particularly highlighting where I found joy and where I faced challenges. Group 1. They beautifully traced the history of public speaking illustrating how it has transformed over time. I particularly enjoyed learning about the influence of technology on communication. I appreciated the emphasis on authenticity it resonated with me because it underscored the importance of being genuine in front of an audience. This chapter set the stage for understanding public speaking not just as a skill but as an art form that evolves with societal changes. Group 2. I found the practical tips for overcoming anxiety particularly useful. Techniques such as visualization and positive affirmations struck a chord with me. I remember feeling a sense of empowerment when I practiced the...

Evaluation of Class Presentation      Today, I want to talk about how well my classmates did when they gave a presentation about speech tips. Public speaking is a valuable skill that benefits us in both our academic and professional lives. My classmates recently presented a talk on practical advice for public speaking. In this evaluation, I'll assess their presentation based on how well-organized their ideas were, how effectively they conveyed their message, how well they engaged the audience and their overall performance. Content Overview      The presentation addressed several important subjects, including speech organization, understanding the audience, preparation techniques, and effective delivery strategies. Each section contained useful guidance that was easy to grasp. The structure of the presentation made it easy for the audience to follow along and retain the information shared. Preparation Techniques      The presenters stre...
